Top 7 freelance web developers in Mumbai (2026), ranked on Google reviews

Short answer: On 30 October 2026, the seven freelance web developers in Mumbai with the strongest record you can check were me (Shezad Ali Khan), Vipul Pore, Chetan Singh, Santosh Yadav, Tushar Chawatekar, Ronak Bagadia and Madhavi Khedekar. Each has at least 20 reviews on their own Google Business Profile.

I build websites, so I’m on this list, and the formula puts me first. Vipul Pore has more than nine times my Google reviews, so read the scoring before you take my #1 at face value. Every number is printed below.

The rule for getting on the list

• Their own Google Business Profile has at least 20 reviews, at any star rating.
• They work as an individual in Mumbai or the wider MMR. A listing under a company name counts when a named founder is clearly the person you’d work with, and I say so when that applies.
• Web design or development is in their Google listing’s name or category, or in the headline of their own website.

How I scored them

Part	Points	How it’s scored
Google reviews	35	20–29 reviews: 14 · 30–49: 20 · 50–99: 26 · 100–199: 31 · 200+: 35
Google rating	20	5.0 gets 20, minus 2 points for every 0.1 below that
Years in practice	20	Their own stated figure, the lowest if their site gives several. 20+ years: 20 · 15–19: 17 · 10–14: 14 · 5–9: 9 · not stated: 4
Work you can check	25	Named clients or projects on their own site: 12 · a working website of their own: 5 · a named outside credential or profile, such as a government certificate or a Behance portfolio: 8

For a web developer, work you can check matters more than anywhere else: you can open the sites they’ve built and judge them yourself. I opened every Google listing on 30 October 2026 and took the screenshots that day.

The top 7

1. Shezad Ali Khan (that’s me)

79/100 · 5.0★ from 33 Google reviews · Jogeshwari West

My Google listing, 30 October 2026.

I’ve shipped 88+ websites for clients in 14+ industries. My work page names the clients and links to the live sites, so you can open them and judge them yourself. I also do the SEO on the sites I build, so search is part of the structure from day one.

Where I lose points: 33 reviews against Vipul’s 308. If you weight reviews more heavily than this formula does, Vipul comes first, and that’s a fair reading.

2. Vipul Pore (Vipul Pore and Company)

75/100 · 4.9★ from 308 Google reviews · Borivali West

Vipul Pore and Company’s Google listing, 30 October 2026.

Vipul’s practice builds websites, Shopify and WordPress/WooCommerce stores and apps, and also does graphic design and branding. Its 308 Google reviews are the most of anyone across my lists, and the site says 15 years of industry experience.

Worth knowing: the listing is under the company name, and the site groups its portfolio by category without naming the clients. Ask for links to three sites like yours.

3. Chetan Singh

71/100 · 4.9★ from 161 Google reviews · Wagle Estate, Thane

Chetan Singh’s Google listing, 30 October 2026.

Chetan’s listing names WordPress development alongside digital marketing and SEO work, and the site says Chetan has been in the field since 2009.

Worth knowing: the website is about marketing and SEO courses and shows no web projects, so ask for live sites Chetan has built before you hire for a build.

4. Santosh Yadav

67/100 · 4.8★ from 35 Google reviews · Andheri East (Sakinaka)

Santosh Yadav’s Google listing, 30 October 2026.

Santosh builds on WordPress, Shopify, PHP and Laravel, and .NET, and takes on ecommerce sites and mobile apps. The portfolio names projects including Qatar Online Directory, ShopInsurance24x7 and Shangrila Perfumes.

Worth knowing: the site gives Santosh’s experience as anything from ten years to 18+, so I scored it as ten.

5. Tushar Chawatekar

65/100 · 4.9★ from 53 Google reviews · Jogeshwari East

Tushar Chawatekar’s Google listing, 30 October 2026.

Tushar designs and develops websites, including WordPress builds, along with UI/UX and branding work, and also teaches web development and digital marketing. The site names projects including Spacefiber Lighting, Emperia1900 and ROQS Beyond Senses.

Worth knowing: the site doesn’t say how long Tushar has been practising, which cost points.

6. Ronak Bagadia (Stymeta Technologies)

63/100 · 4.5★ from 28 Google reviews · Kandivali West

Stymeta Technologies’ Google listing, 30 October 2026.

Ronak is a freelance web designer and developer and the founder of Stymeta Technologies. The site says 13+ years in places and “over 10 years” in others, and it carries a testimonial from a co-founder of The Sleep Company. The Behance portfolio is public, so you can look through the work before you call.

Worth knowing: the Google listing is under Stymeta, and larger jobs may go through its team.

7. Madhavi Khedekar

60/100 · 5.0★ from 42 Google reviews · Mulund East

Madhavi Khedekar’s Google listing, 30 October 2026.

Madhavi’s listing describes a freelance website designer and WordPress developer with 20+ years of experience, with a 5.0 average across 42 reviews.

Worth knowing: the listing links to WhatsApp, not a website, so there’s no portfolio to check online. Ask for links to live sites.

Who missed the cut, and why

Priyamani (4.8 from 27 reviews, Goregaon East) and Siba Sahu (3.6 from 43 reviews, Andheri East) both pass the 20-review rule. They scored 34 and 29. Priyamani’s listing links no website, so there was no portfolio to check, and Siba’s 3.6 average earned no rating points.

Some listings with more reviews were left out because no named person stands behind them, for example “A Good Freelancing Frontend Developer” (52 reviews) and “Freelancer Mumbai” (20 reviews). Others are agencies with teams, such as Webbrella Infotech, WAAD Technologies and Mumbai Web Design.

Before you hire a web developer

1. Open three sites they’ve built on your phone. Check how fast they load and whether the contact button works.
2. Ask who owns the domain, hosting and logins when the project ends. The answer should be “you”.
3. Ask what happens after launch, meaning updates, backups and fixes, and what each one costs.

If you’re still choosing a platform, Astro vs WordPress in 2026 compares the two for small business sites. And if the person building your site is a relative doing it as a favour, read why the family business website shouldn’t be built by your nephew first.

Common questions

How did you check the developers’ Google reviews?

I opened each developer’s own Google Maps listing on 30 October 2026, recorded the rating and review count, and took the screenshot on this page at the same time. Review counts change, so check the listing again before you hire.

Why is your own name first?

Because the formula gives a quarter of the points to work you can check, and my work page links 88+ live client sites. On reviews alone Vipul Pore is far ahead. Both facts are in the table, so you can weigh them yourself.

Can a web developer be added to this list?

Yes, if they’re an individual in Mumbai or the MMR with at least 20 reviews on their own Google listing and web work in their listing or website headline. Send the link through the contact page and I’ll score them on the same formula at the next update.

Ratings and review counts are as Google showed them on 30 October 2026. Treat this page as a dated snapshot and check each listing before you decide.
