Top 5 SEO experts in Mumbai (2026), ranked on Google reviews

Short answer: On 30 October 2026, the five individual SEO practitioners in Mumbai with the strongest record you can check were me (Shezad Ali Khan), Pallavi Sakharkar, Chetan Singh, Shanta Narang and Mariyam Shaikh. Each has at least 20 reviews on their own Google Business Profile.

SEO is most of what I do, so I’m on this list, and the formula puts me first. Two people below me have four to five times my review count. Read how the points work before you take my #1 at face value.

Why so few individuals

Search “SEO expert in Mumbai” on Google Maps and you’ll find dozens of listings with 20+ reviews. Nearly all of them are agencies: Cations Digital, BestoSEO, SEO4LEADS, Capsicum Mediaworks and others. Only three individuals put SEO in their Google listing name or their website headline: Chetan Singh, Shanta Narang and me. To make a list of five, I also counted individuals whose own website offers SEO as a service. That brought in Pallavi Sakharkar and Mariyam Shaikh.

The rule for getting on the list

• Their own Google Business Profile has at least 20 reviews, at any star rating.
• They’re an individual working in Mumbai or the wider MMR. Agencies are out.
• SEO is in their Google listing’s name or category, in their website headline, or offered as a service on their own website.

How I scored them

Part	Points	How it’s scored
Google reviews	35	20–29 reviews: 14 · 30–49: 20 · 50–99: 26 · 100–199: 31 · 200+: 35
Google rating	20	5.0 gets 20, minus 2 points for every 0.1 below that
Years in practice	20	Their own stated figure, the lowest if their site gives several. 20+ years: 20 · 15–19: 17 · 10–14: 14 · 5–9: 9 · not stated: 4
Work you can check	25	Named clients or projects on their own site: 12 · a working website of their own: 5 · a named outside credential, such as a government certificate or a named employer: 8

I opened every listing on 30 October 2026 and took the screenshots that day. Years and credentials are each person’s own claims, and I haven’t verified them.

The top 5

1. Shezad Ali Khan (that’s me)

79/100 · 5.0★ from 33 Google reviews · Jogeshwari West

My Google listing, 30 October 2026.

I do technical, local and AI-search SEO for Mumbai businesses: audits, Google Business Profile work, and fixes measured by the enquiries they bring in. I’ve audited 150+ sites over 12+ years, I’m a Skill India certified trainer (NSQF Level 6), and I teach SEO as well as doing it. My work page names clients and links their live sites.

Where I lose points: 33 reviews. Chetan has nearly five times that, and Pallavi four times.

2. Pallavi Sakharkar

76/100 · 5.0★ from 134 Google reviews · Thane West

Pallavi Sakharkar’s Google listing, 30 October 2026.

Pallavi’s Growth Elephant site offers SEO services, including SEO for doctors, clinics and hospitals, alongside courses and corporate workshops. Pallavi claims 24+ years in digital marketing. If you run a clinic, that healthcare focus is the reason to call first.

Worth knowing: training is the headline of the site, and the client logos aren’t named, so ask for two healthcare SEO results you can look up.

3. Chetan Singh

71/100 · 4.9★ from 161 Google reviews · Wagle Estate, Thane

Chetan Singh’s Google listing, 30 October 2026.

Chetan works as Digital Chetan and says the SEO career started as an analyst in 2009. Alongside client SEO work, the site sells three SEO courses. Chetan’s 161 reviews are the most on this list.

Worth knowing: the site names no clients and gives only a first name, so ask for live rankings or Google Business Profiles you can check.

4. Shanta Narang

68/100 · 4.9★ from 31 Google reviews · Mumbai service area

Shanta Narang’s Google listing, 30 October 2026.

Shanta covers technical, on-page and off-page SEO, local SEO and SEO for AI search, and teaches SEO courses. The website claims 15+ years and names a role as SEO Team Lead at Zell Education.

Worth knowing: the Google listing shows Mumbai as a service area with no street address, while the contact address on the website is in Modipuram, Meerut. If you need someone who can come to your office, ask where the work is done from.

5. Mariyam Shaikh

51/100 · 5.0★ from 21 Google reviews · Jogeshwari West

Mariyam Shaikh’s Google listing, 30 October 2026.

Mariyam offers SEO as part of a wider service list that includes WordPress sites, social media and ads, and lists an Advanced Digital Marketing certificate from DGmark Institute.

Worth knowing: the site doesn’t say how long Mariyam has been practising or name clients, and 21 reviews is just over the line.

All five scores side by side

#	SEO practitioner	Google	Reviews	Rating	Years	Work	Total
1	Shezad Ali Khan	5.0★ (33)	20	20	14	25	79
2	Pallavi Sakharkar	5.0★ (134)	31	20	20	5	76
3	Chetan Singh	4.9★ (161)	31	18	17	5	71
4	Shanta Narang	4.9★ (31)	20	18	17	13	68
5	Mariyam Shaikh	5.0★ (21)	14	20	4	13	51

If you count only reviews and rating, the order is Pallavi, Chetan, me, Shanta, Mariyam. I’d still call that a reasonable way to choose.

Who missed the cut, and why

Mayank SEO Services (62 reviews) describes itself as a team of SEO professionals, and Cations Digital, BestoSEO, SEO4LEADS and Nice SEO Services are agencies too. They may be good choices, but this list is about hiring one person.

Anand Kumar Jha has published a large library of SEO writing, but is based in Chandigarh. Dhaval Kamdar, a PPC and Google Ads freelancer, had 19 reviews on 30 October, one short of the line.

Before you hire an SEO expert

1. Ask to see a Google Business Profile or a ranking they improved, and check it yourself in an incognito window.
2. Ask what you’ll get each month, in writing: pages fixed, content published, links earned, and a report you can read.
3. Be wary of guarantees. Nobody controls Google’s results, and a guaranteed #1 usually means a keyword nobody searches.

How to tell if your SEO agency is doing anything covers what to watch once someone is working for you, and SEO packages in Mumbai explains what the usual monthly prices buy.

Common questions

How did you check the SEO experts’ Google reviews?

I opened each person’s own Google Maps listing on 30 October 2026, recorded the rating and review count, and took the screenshot shown on this page at the same time. Counts change, so check the listing again before you hire.

Why aren’t SEO agencies on this list?

Because it answers a different question: which individual you can hire directly. Agencies can do good work, but you’re hiring a team, and their reviews describe the company.

Can an SEO expert be added to this list?

Yes, if they’re an individual in Mumbai or the MMR with at least 20 reviews on their own Google listing and SEO in their listing, website headline or service list. Send the link through the contact page and I’ll score them on the same formula at the next update.

Ratings and review counts are as Google showed them on 30 October 2026. Treat this page as a dated snapshot and check each listing before you decide.
